Meatballs

0:10 Prep 0:30 Cook Makes 25 Meatballs








 

This dish is so good because you don't have to use a particular mince!

Super easy and cheap to make!

Makes amazing meatball subs!

 




INGREDIENTS

FOR THE MEATBALLS

  • 500 grams of lean beef mince

  • 500 grams of lean pork mince

  • 1/2 a cup of cheese

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup of bread crumbs

  • 2 teaspoons of salt

  • 2 teaspoons of pepper

FOR THE BAKE/COOKING

  • oil spray, as needed

  • 700 ml of passata sauce

  • 1 cup of cheese

 

METHOD

MEATBALLS

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180C/350F (or fan-forced 160C/320F).

Step 2

In a large bowl, use your clean hands to mix together all the ingredients.

Step 3

Shape the mixture into 25 meatballs, each weighing about 30 grams.

Step 4

Get a medium sizer pan and spray with oil.

Step 5

add as many meatballs as you can in the pan. making sure that they aren't touching.

Step 6

Turn the meatballs over when brown, keep turning over until there is no pink. repeat with the remaining meatballs

FOR THE BAKE

Step 7

When all of the meatballs are cooked add them in a casserole dish, pour over the passata sauce and sprinkle the cheese over it.

Step 8

place into the oven and leave it in there for 20 minutes.

Step 9

Take out of the oven, and enjoy!
